At a very young age, I was diagnosed with leukemia. Although I beat it, the side effects from chemotherapy continue to affect me to this day, including kidney failure, an enlarged spleen, and, most recently, a liver transplant in 2022. I have always had a passion for helping others, but after the liver transplant, I had an epiphany about just how precious life is. So, I decided to put my passion and experience to work and create Happy Disciples! Since its creation, Happy Disciples has held 8 fundraising events, prepared over 500 gift baskets, and raised a little over $30,000 through donations and merchandise sales. Now, we are working toward Easter 2026, with a goal of raising $7,500.
